Tariff Information For Shipments to the USA

May 13th Update

The United States and China announced a 90 day pause on some tariffs. No details have been released as of yet, including whether this will apply to the $800 deminimis exemption. We'll be watching the situation closely.

 

May 6th Update

On May 2, 2025 new rules for shipments into the USA containing goods made in China go into effect, it’s very important that our US customers understand the implications.

All items made in China will now be subject to a minimum 120% or $100 per package tariff upon delivery, even those shipped from Canada. Before the change, shipments under $800 USD were exempt from this rule.

Any orders over $800 will possibly be tariffed, and the tariff will depend on the country of origin.

We hope, as has been the pattern, that these new rules will be pushed back or changed in the near future. There is very little information on the implementation.

We will update our US Tariffs page as we receive info from our Shipping vendors. 

The 120% or $100 per package tariff applies to new Hasbro Star Wars figures and all Kenner and Hasbro items made in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong since 1977, whether sealed or loose beaters. Our shipments from Canada are treated the same as those from China.

In the coming days, we will be tagging all products to show which are subject to the tariffs and which are not. Almost all Hasbro product is made in China, but most vintage Kenner toys and playsets were made in Canada and the US. There’s also loads of non-toy items that were made outside China.

 

To our American customers:

Please, please be patient with us at this time. We are trying to do right by everyone while dealing a lot of unknowns.

All recent US orders have shipped before the deadline and will not have any tariffs applied.

Pre-Orders: Because things are changing weekly, we will address tariff issues with pre-orders as those products become available to ship. At that time, we will contact customers and provide updates and options.

New orders to the US that contain items made in China (vintage or modern), will likely be charged a 120% or $100 per package tariff or more upon delivery. Customers will be responsible for any duties, taxes or other charges on these orders. I hate to say it, but I suggest US customers hold off any orders until next week when we can provide an update.

To our Canadian Customers:

So… we could really use your support right now, both in-store and online. We’re working to improve the experience even more for Canadian customers in the coming weeks.

There are no changes, tariffs or extra charges on Canadian orders.

With the border uncertainty, we welcome Canadians looking to move their Hasbro pre-orders to Canadian retailers. Sharing 4th Moon Toys with other Canadian collectors is a big help too!
