Now this is podracing. Released to coincide with The Phantom Menace 3D theatrical run, this 2012 version isn't a straight repack of the 1999 original. Hasbro went back and reworked the design with additional sculpted detail, making this a notably different vehicle from what Episode I fans picked up thirteen years earlier.

The podracer assembles into Anakin's iconic twin-engine racer from the Boonta Eve Classic, complete with the yellow-and-silver colour scheme and those distinctive triple air scoops on each engine. The cockpit fits 3.75" figures with hands positioned to grip the control sticks — though you'll need to supply your own young Skywalker since this set is vehicle-only. The 2012 Movie Heroes Anakin (MH14) or Discover the Force versions work well here.

Part of the Class II vehicle assortment that also brought back Sebulba's Podracer, the Sith Infiltrator, and the AAT — all packaged in the Darth Maul-branded Movie Heroes packaging that defined the Phantom Menace 3D merchandise push.
