The Phase III Dark Trooper from the 1995 LucasArts game Dark Forces — the final boss Kyle Katarn faces at the end of the game. In the story, this most powerful iteration of the Dark Trooper project is actually an exosuit worn by General Rom Mohc, with only a single unit ever built. Part of the 1998 Expanded Universe sub-line where Kenner drew from comics, novels, and video games, with each figure packaged with a cardboard 3-D diorama.

The figure is noticeably bulkier than standard 3.75" figures, dwarfing most of the line by width alone. The shoulder armour is a single connected piece that lifts off, and the backpack/jetpack is removable as well. Standard six points of articulation. The Dark Trooper proved popular enough to win the 2006 Fan's Choice poll, earning a repainted re-release in the 2007 30th Anniversary Collection with an Expanded Universe collector coin.
