Dark Side Adepts who guarded the reborn Emperor's palace on Byss, the Imperial Sentinels were described in Dark Empire as twice the size and power of other Imperial guards. Their design traces back to early Return of the Jedi concept art for the Emperor's Royal Guards — sketches that Kenner later repurposed for the never-produced "Epic Continues" line before Dark Horse gave the look an official home in the comics.

The figure stands taller than standard 3.75" figures at roughly 4 inches, reflecting the character's imposing stature. The lower body is a single solid piece with only four points of swivel articulation, making this more display piece than action figure. The oversized axe staff towers over the figure itself, and the familiar POTF2 light-up eye port lets you illuminate the Sentinel's visor by holding the head up to a light source.
