Imperial Troop Transporter – Kenner Star Wars

Vintage Vehicle | The Empire Strikes Back | 1980

An entirely Kenner-original design with no on-screen basis in the original trilogy, the Imperial Troop Transporter was later featured in both Star Wars Rebels and The Mandalorian. Released in ESB packaging in 1980, this is the standard red-button version with the internal sound mechanism — sounds are played via a tiny plastic record inside the unit. The Sears exclusive variant used black buttons and omitted the sound feature entirely. Sounds on these often play out of sequence with the corresponding buttons, which is a known characteristic of the mechanism rather than a fault. In the original Canadian bilingual English/French box, produced in significantly smaller numbers than the US release.

Complete with vehicle, 2 figure immobilization hoods, battery cover and antenna. Also includes original bilingual instructions, comic book and used sticker sheet.
