Kenner Star Wars X-Wing toy instructions autographed by the iconic Jim Swearingen! Jim designed the prototype X-Wing toy for Kenner in 1977.
All instructions are 100% original vintage from 1978.
Jim Swearingen was a young designer for Kenner when they were approached for the Star Wars license. He worked on the prototypes for the first 12 figures, X-Wing and TIE Fighter. He was instrumental in the switch to 3.75" figures, stating that he wanted kids to be able to hold ships in their hands and create dog fights. You may recognize Jim from The Toys That Made Us on Netflix.
