Star Wars Early Bird Mini Catalog (Small Version) Kenner 1977 - Vintage

Vintage Kenner Mini Catalog | Star Wars | 1977

Please see pictures for condition.

Original Kenner small format Early Bird mini catalog from 1977, with the Hildebrandt brothers' Star Wars poster art on the cover. Glued binding, 8 pages including covers.

This is the first Star Wars consumer catalog Kenner produced and it shipped in the Early Bird mailer box alongside the four Early Bird figures (Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca and Artoo-Detoo). It mainly promotes the paper goods, puzzles and games Kenner was able to get to market before Christmas 1977, since the action figure line was still months from production. The figures themselves were not ready to be photographed, so the catalog shows 12 actor publicity photos in place of the 12 figures. The larger Hildebrandt cover catalog that followed shortly after is the first to picture the actual figures.

The SWCA minicat guide rates the small Early Bird catalog Category 4, its scarcest tier, as it was only ever available with a single item.

100% original vintage Kenner Star Wars — no reproduction parts, ever.
