Land of the Jawas Action Playset – Kenner Star Wars
Vintage 3.75" Playset | A New Hope | 1979
One of the earliest playsets in the vintage Kenner line, depicting the Tatooine desert terrain where the Jawas captured R2-D2 and C-3PO and loaded them into the Sandcrawler.
Fully complete, including:
- Plastic Tatooine base with R2-D2 cave and battle-action lever
- Escape pod with opening hatch
- Cardboard Jawa Sandcrawler backdrop
- Manual elevator lift
- 2 plastic sliders
- Cardboard pegs
Kenner reused the base mould for two later ESB-era playsets — the Hoth Ice Planet Adventure Set and the Rebel Command Center. The battle-action lever flips figures into the air, and the manual elevator raises and lowers figures into the belly of the cardboard Sandcrawler.
