This unused Lucasfilm Christmas card features original artwork by Ralph McQuarrie, created exclusively for Lucasfilm’s internal holiday mailings. Never sold to the public, McQuarrie’s Christmas artwork has become highly sought after, blending his signature Star Wars aesthetic with festive, playful imagery.
The illustration shows C-3PO in a Santa coat and R2-D2 dressed as a reindeer, set against a warm holiday interior with a decorated tree, gifts, and a glowing fireplace.
