Back in 1978, Regal Toys made the stuffed Chewbacca and R2-D2 in Canada instead of Kenner. They also made the plush Jawa, Chewbacca puppet and this huge, 4 foot tall Chewbacca.
The 4 ft Chewie is thought to be a store display because there are so few of them around, though there's not a lot of information about it. Made of the same wookie fur as the regular sized vintage Chewbacca stuffed toy. He sports two of the bandoliers found on the regular Chewie. There is a metal rod "skeleton" inside to help it stand up. He has the same wacky grin as the smaller Regal Chewbacca too!
The fur on this walking carpet is in excellent condition. The fur has been thoroughly cleaned and combed. There is a chip to the nose on this guy (see pics).
