VC08 was one of the original 2010 launch wave figures of The Vintage Collection. When Hasbro brought the line back in 2018, Vader was reissued under the same number on the Empire Strikes Back photo card as part of the relaunch's first wave, alongside the first new VC numbers in the 120s. The 2018 release returns to a two piece helmet, where the 2010 version shipped with a three piece helmet and separate neck collar. The chest box, belt boxes and control panel are painted to match the Empire era look rather than the Revenge of the Sith details on earlier versions of this body.
